I totally agree with faith regarding Jade Goody, the media interest has increased awareness of cancer and provoked sympathy in the general public for cancer sufferers and their families. But I do think that awareness could have been increased with out following her around and filming her in the last weeks of her life. I don't blame Jade at all for taking the last opportunity to make money for her children, but on the other hand their are some people out their who are not left with that opportunity and face dying and leaving their children alone with nothing. Also she made the choice not only to let the cameras follow her around but to also put her children in the spot light at a time which was already difficult for them. In the future will those children really like the idea that the nation watched their mother and followed her illness in the last weeks of her life??
I think that when a illness like that hits a family it is not only the one with the illness that suffers but it is all the loved ones. It is also the loved ones who are left to deal with the loss afterwards. I just personally wouldn't find any comfort in the idea that my mom was in the spotlight as she died. Faiths Blog
